SSG Private RallyPoint Member 824515

So I took HBL in December, I signed out in my unit sign out roster, and I made a copy of my leave form. My S1 didn't update anyone's leave profile or so they are claiming, and have decided to do that now 6 months later. The S1 NCOIC is reconstructing leave forms for ones the do not have on file based on the unit sign out roster. Does this seem right? I checked my LES and I'm sure I was already charged for it. I'm looking for regulations or knowledgeable personnel to tell me if this is right or wrong How long does S1 have to update your leave? 2015-07-18T09:33:13-04:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 824515

So I took HBL in December, I signed out in my unit sign out roster, and I made a copy of my leave form. You accrue 2.5 days a month, and you know where you used it. If that doesn't match up, or shows a duplicate, escalate it to the S1 chief, and show him the duplicate. Doesn't require a "reg" as it is an Administrative Error which is clearly shown with existing paperwork.

Unless they can show were you took two different sets of leave which account for the amount used, they need to correct the error. I highly recommend printing your LES every month (or keeping the hard copy your unit gives you, if they still do that) and keeping it on file. Finance appears no longer to have the ability to look at historic leave and earnings data beyond what you can pull off of MyPay (which is limited to 12 months of data). I now print and save LESs every month, and this has been key to winning arguments with Finance about pay and leave issues.

To your question, though, the answer is that your S1 can take as long as they like to process leave and pay documents. Finance can take as long as they like, too. Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 18 at 2015 1:45 PM 2015-07-18T13:45:27-04:00 2015-07-18T13:45:27-04:00 2015-07-18T09:33:13-04:00
