Hello everyone, I'm a prior service Marine that got out in 2018, I am currently in the process of enlisting in the Army. When I was still in I was arrested, but no convictions came of it. I didn't get in any trouble after that. I actually stayed another 3 years, deployed, and even got promoted. I have already been to MEPS, had a waiver for my dislocated shoulder back in 2012. Long story short, I am already medically qualified. I am just waiting on a suitability review. My recruiter said that it is with the BC, once he signs it, its going to USAREC. I have been waiting about a week, how long does this take usually?

Sometimes the commander wants an interview, if it's only been a week I say hit up the recruiter mid week and ask him if you'll need a phone interview with the commander.

I had an interview with the Captain last week, then he said he was happy to approve my package and he sent it up to the Colonel. He said the Colonel will want to talk to me before he signs it. I called my recruiter on wednesday and he said that its still at the BC, but the good news is that nothing has been kicked back. I can't wait to go back on active man, this is taking a bit.

SSgt (Join to see) yeah I know the feeling I was a prior service Army and took me all together 4 recruiters and a year to get back in. But you're good I did the same and the captain said the same to me but I didn't have to interview with the Colonel. I can only say just stay in touch with your recruiter. Let's hope you go in to set up the MOS and shop date and then the next the ship date.

Unfortunately no one on here can give you a confirmed answer. It can take up to 45days bevause of the many priority the BN CDR has especially while COVID-19 is still going on. At this point its a waiting game (sorry). Be patient, I'm sure it eill work out in your favor... Good luck to you...SSgt (Join to see)
