How long do I have to wait to get my SPC?

I got demoted to PV2 in October 2017 when I was suppose to get my specialist. And was on a bar of reenlistment for 6 months. But I fixed my self and I’m squared away soldier now. I got my PFC back in July. And I wanted to know do I have to wait 6 months to get my specialist or can I get it faster because I will be in for 3 years in October. I also want to re-enlist or change mos.

You have your TIS but you need to meet the TIG requirement. You may be able to get a waiver; I can't remember all of the circumstances for waiver - it has been a while. Plan to have to wait the full TIG and if you get it before that you have reason to celebrate a little bit.

Have trust in your command to do what is proper in determining when you will be promoted to the rank of Specialist. It appears that your leaders have invested the time and effort in providing you the opportunity to overcome whatever challenge that may have occurred early in your career. When the time is right, they will determine that you are ready for promotion. Your mission is to continue to demonstrate that you are a value to the Army team.
