How long before one gets QMP selected?

Hubby received a DUI back in november (actually it was an APC cause he was not driving). He has already received a gomor and it was filed in his permanent records. We are now waiting for the STAB to decide to reinstate his P status or not, but I know it will not happen. I know everything needs to be settled before he receives the notification, but I was wondering if the the board is a little behind with the list of soldiers to select or if there is an order they follow on the basis of the severity of the misconduct or of the measure taken against the soldier. For example, will the QMP this year review soldiers' military records for 2018 or for 2017? Will they select first soldiers that got an article 15 or that received punishment for drug? I am just trying to understand how much longer he will survive in the army.

My husband was given a bad NCOER while his rators illegally trumped up some crap.. which resulted in him getting a does not meet the standard. Anyway, that happened back in July and he was given the notification that he’s on the board that was held November 28. So it all depends on when the paperwork goes up to HRC to flag him. I’m sorry that this happened. We are praying that with all of mine and our daughters paperwork, statements from his commanders and those who spoke on his behalf that he can beat this. Waiting is the MOST horrible feeling in th world. Good luck!
