CPL Private RallyPoint Member 6551220

Long story short I’m was suppose to get (chapter) out in a couple weeks before the holidays but now I’m on quarantine till Dec 17 prolonging my stay here and my brother already bought me a ticket for the 18. Can they deny my leave? How likely is it to complete clearing during the Holidays at Fort Hood? Also can they deny my leave packet? 2020-12-04T13:13:48-05:00 CPL Private RallyPoint Member 6551220

Long story short I’m was suppose to get (chapter) out in a couple weeks before the holidays but now I’m on quarantine till Dec 17 prolonging my stay here and my brother already bought me a ticket for the 18. You're going to have to plan out which ones to hit in the morning and which ones are going to be open in the afternoon.

I cleared during HBL once (not at Hood) and I got everything done by my final out date to start leave. Make sure to get all of your stuff squared away!!!!!!!!! Go by CIF and get a copy of your records, do an inventory before hand to make sure you have all items accounted for. If missing something, buy it at a pawn shop if possible, cheaper and faster than paying for it). Do not slack on your clearance process. The ball is in your court!!!!

Why your brother bought a ticket? You travel on Uncle Sam’s dime. Utilize CYA option via COC. Best COA. Leave is not a right, but an entitlement- they can block/rescind/cancel or postpone your leave at anytime. 2. Your brother was foolish. 3. Suggest you get moving and clear what you can, because the civilians go on reduced hours during the holiday. 4. Do you even have a chapter packet yet- without it you are just a normal GI in the service. Now your Brother buying a ticket is the thing you need to take care of. The military ships you home on their dime tell your brother to cancel the ticket and get his money back if they will refund it, be reminded a ticket is not a copy of orders.
