How is serving on active duty as a 37F?

One of my coworkers was a 37F, he said they'd go hout and hit HVTs and collect information with the SF guys in three man chaulks. Any information on being an active duty 37F, how is it? I'm leaving my job soon and going back home so I can go active duty and I'm looking at different opportunities.

Personally, I love it. Each Battalion has it's own mission. Personally, I've served on a TPT (3 man chaulk as you referred to it) and was attached to the 1st Marine Division. I served on a MIST (5 man team) and worked at the US Embassies in Ethiopia and Djibouti. I served two rotations on an RMD (5-8 man team) at the Special Operations Command Forward (SOCFWD) in Stuttgart, Germany with 10th & 3rd Special Forces Groups, respectively. I also served on the Military Information Support Task Force - Central (Joint Task Force) in Qatar. I am one of the few "PSYOP babies" left on Active Duty, meaning I joined the Army as PSYOP. Been at it for over 14 years now and I love it. Currently, I bring all my experiences to the school house as a PSYOP Instructor, so if you're going Active, I may see you during that venture.
