Great. Y I u are an hour away from Nashville and there's plenty to do around Clarksville.

There's plenty of things for families and children. The area is great, traffic (especially before and after work)not so much. If you plan to buy a house when you arrive, start looking now. Prices are shooting up. Nashville is an hour away, Land Between the Lakes is an hour west. There is an arena being built in town for more sporting events as well. I haven't been on post in quite a while though so I couldn't tell you about that part.

Anyplace is really what you make it. While assigned to FTCKY I hated it due to being so busy all the time. However it is a great place to have family go to school and wife earn her education. It is one of the most modern bases in the military and has a proud heritage surrounding the 101st, 5th SFG(A), and 160th SOAR just to name a few.

You are not far from land between the lakes if you like water sports.
