There doesn't seem to be that much information on how the job actually is or what it does other than "contracting". So i wanted to get some feedback on those who have experience with this MOS.

Specifically, how is it? what is your day typically like both busy and normal? Do you deploy? whats your time with family look like? and of course, lastly, do you enjoy it and do you recommend it? How is being a 51C, such as what is your day typically like, do you deploy, what is your time with family like, etc.? 2019-04-16T19:56:47-04:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 4551625

I keep getting emails about reclassing to become a 51C. We don't just do contracting we are business advisors to senior Commanders as well. October through December are usually slow but July through September are extremely busy. We do have a decent deployment optempo and random stateside missions that have to happen (border support is one). I get plenty of time with the family. This is an MOS that can set you up for after the Army. You are required to get a bachelor's degree and most of us have a Master's or are very close to having one. The biggest thing to this job is being quick on your feet and self driven.
