Every agency should have some kind of SSO element that can look you up, an issue you may find is that DoD and Civilian agencies use two different databases and they did not always speak to each other. The new unit's SSO/Security Manager can check status of your clearance. If you are trying to determine dates for a resume, you might be able to contact your previous unit's SSO/Security Manager to find out when you last investigation was adjudicated.
