Will stuff from the past come back to haunt you even if it's not recent (5+ years ago). I just don't understand how someone could get a rating like this if someone gets retained and works hard to overcome a mistake, and promotes, and does good work and performs. Does anyone have any first hand experience or seen others in this situation? How is a NFQ rating determined on NCO evaluation boards?2022-03-11T11:42:10-05:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member7567270<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>How is a NFQ rating determined on NCO evaluatiom boards? I can tell you that if someone overcomes a mistake, promotes or not, and does competent work at their grade level, there is no reason they should get an NFQ rating. Those who do get an NFQ rating have been evaluated by a board of several SGMs who all rated the Soldier with the same failing score based on their performance at their grade level.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 11 at 2022 12:32 PM2022-03-11T12:32:49-05:002022-03-11T12:32:49-05:00CSM Darieus ZaGara7569533<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>For SGM’s and CSM’s to find someone NFQ there would be key indicators within the Soldiers record that give pause to the board. Without breaking down the entire board process, suffice it to say that should the group reviewing the same record make the same finding they will be found NFQ. It is far and few between. That this occurs. Your unit CSM should be able to look at the issue you are referencing, review your performance indicators since that issue and tell you with reasonable certainty that you may or may not be found NFQ.Response by CSM Darieus ZaGara made Mar 12 at 2022 6:23 PM2022-03-12T18:23:55-05:002022-03-12T18:23:55-05:002022-03-11T11:42:10-05:00
