You need to receive a conditional release from your Guard. You'll need to complete a DD 368 and receive a letter of endorsement or an LOR from your chain of command.Response by 1LT Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 17 at 2018 10:15 AM2018-04-17T10:15:22-04:002018-04-17T10:15:22-04:00CPT Don Kemp3551464<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>As with all requests, it depends on the needs of the Army. When times are tough and you wouldn't want to go Active Duty, it will be relatively easy.Response by CPT Don Kemp made Apr 17 at 2018 11:19 AM2018-04-17T11:19:52-04:002018-04-17T11:19:52-04:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member3560567<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The PANG may have a number of years they want to recoup from you before release - they've invested money in you to commission. Every year the Army does a MILPER for a Call to Active Duty (CAD) for career fields they don't have enough folks of each rank for. Usually comes out in the late Spring, I think. Just tell your S-1 to let you know when the CAD memo comes out.Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 20 at 2018 7:10 AM2018-04-20T07:10:34-04:002018-04-20T07:10:34-04:00CPT Lorenzo Lama3573337<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was in the Guard (Infantry) I earned my reserve commission thru ROTC. It was near impossible for an officer to active. At best, OBV 3, obligated volunteer with a 3 year commitment if you graduated at the very top of your class at IOBC. OCS (state commission) is ranked at the bottom of commissioning sources. Good luck.Response by CPT Lorenzo Lama made Apr 24 at 2018 4:09 PM2018-04-24T16:09:43-04:002018-04-24T16:09:43-04:002018-04-17T09:19:22-04:00
