I am moving to a unit as a 72D which is an O-2 slot. I heard AMEDD officers can promote one grade above which their PARA and LINE states, is this applicable to me? If so, how would the process work so I can work with my BN S-1? In general, AMEDD officers (not 67/70 series) can promote up to 2 above once DA select. Some States limit this to credentialed officers (non-credentialed are considered basic branch). 72 series are somewhere in between, so maybe? Smart States shuffle all officers (not just AMEDD) for UVPs.
