How does pay work for traditional OCS? When do you attend your branch AIT?

1. I would assume you are paid the regular guard amount as you would for any drill weekend, but I wanted to verify? I know with many other forms of military training, you would be paid the active duty amount, but I wasn't sure if this would be the case under the circumstance mentioned above.

2. Once you graduate OCS and have selected your branch, what has been the general wait time you have experienced before attending the training for said branch.

Army OCS Candidates get paid as E-5's. If you attend Army National Guard OCS, you get paid as an E-6, whether you attend one of the accelerated courses or the normal 14-16 months combination of Drill and AT periods.
Now it has been a long time since I commissioned, but I commissioned in July and started my Basic Course in November. At that time, that was about as quick as they could get you a slot, Active or National Guard. No Army Reserve in my class since I was Infantry.

It’s not branch AIT. Basic Officer Leader Course BOLC.
