I have looked and looked, and can't seem to find what regulation or policy tells me how to write out my MOS when I have an ASI or a SQI. Do any Army personnel know how to write an enlisted MOS with ASI and/or SQI added? How do you write an enlisted Army MOS with your ASI and/or SQI?2018-12-10T19:17:43-05:00SGT Javier Silva4198233<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>This question is for my fellow Army battles. The O signifies no SQI when it is in the 5th Position and no ASI or language indicator when it is in the 6-9 position. You should put the SQI in the fifth position and the ASI in the sixth and seventh position. You can either omit the eighth and ninth position or use the letter O in those two spots.Response by MSG Gary Eckert made Apr 1 at 2022 2:38 PM2022-04-01T14:38:36-04:002022-04-01T14:38:36-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member8877325<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The first two characters identify the branch. <br />The third character identifies the specialty within the branch. <br />The fourth character identifies your grade level, and the fifth is your SQI code. <br />If you do not have an Army SQI or are in a position that does not require the SQI, your MOS code should reflect an Oscar in the fifth position.<br />And a sixth and seventh character will reflect your ASI qualification. Your ASI code can be alphanumeric or numeric alpha, depending on your qualification. <br />The eighth and ninth characters are also for your SQI and language identifier.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 27 at 2024 1:38 PM2024-09-27T13:38:22-04:002024-09-27T13:38:22-04:002018-12-10T19:17:43-05:00
