The fact that I served usually comes out of a third parties mouth and then this happens. I try not to project that I served because I don&#39;t want attention (I&#39;m not ashamed, I&#39;m just not a people person and conversation isn&#39;t on my strengths list for my personality)... When it occurs I usually just thank them for their support which is usually followed by a puzzled face from the other person in which you can tell they are thinking what to say next followed by more questions delving into things I&#39;d rather leave in the past. But I digress... I&#39;d rather have people thanking me for my service than people looking down on me for it as it was in the past.
