How do you really feel about all the pacifism in America?

I know a lot of service members are getting upset about the people in America who say that peace and talk are all we need to stop all the violence, in truth we should be proud that they believe that. That means we are doing our jobs correctly, we are shielding our people from the true horrors of the world we live in. if we didn't do our jobs well that would make them be at high alert at all times. I am proud to say that I carry that burden so they don't have to. I would rather be at high alert for the rest of my life so that my countrymen can sleep peacefully at night.

That's how I feel about it, how do you feel when people say that peaceful means are the only way?

We need to be ever vigilant. The attitude of pacifism is going to get more Americans killed.

In a way, you are dead on right. Our military and intell groups have been doing an outstanding job of keeping the ugly problems of the world off our doorsteps. I don't think it is good that they underestimate real dangers though. That is dangerous.

Peace is not the only way. War is not the only way. We have to draw a balance between the two. My fear is that we have forged ourselves into Mjölnir and so now, every problem in world looks like a nail.

A cursory study of history will tell you that pacifism only works for pockets of people with lots of others, well armed, to protect them from the others that would overrun them. That is essentially what you are describing. Pacifists can be so because others ensure they are protected. It doesn't work well, historically, outside of this construct.
