It took three of us nearly two hours to move it across ten feet of yard, a small step onto a porch, across the threshold, and across a single story home. Soon we'll have to move it from a moving truck up to a second story apartment. Is there a good way to do this, or should I hire a professional? How do you move an 842 lb. gun safe up an outdoor flight of stairs?2018-10-13T08:35:24-04:00SPC Elijah J. Henry, MBA Might also consider if the stairs you intend to use and the apartment floor will support the load of safe and number of movers/ equipment to be used.
And as you said moving it into an apartment I'll assume you do not own it.. I would not even attempt this until you have throughly reviewed your renters contract for restrictions to doing so AND a good renters insurance policy in place.

Personally Id hire someone, make sure they have insurance and a Biz license. That will assist in the insurance claim or defending the law suit when the safe crashes though the stairs or apartment floor and lands on the down stairs neighbors pet guinea pigResponse by SGM Erik Marquez made Oct 13 at 2018 8:46 AM2018-10-13T08:46:39-04:002018-10-13T08:46:39-04:00CW5 Jack Cardwell4041838

Hire a professional or get a snapsafe.
