Well there's always the standard music and video games which helps me unwind, but if I really need to relax I'll go out to my burn pit set some stuff on fire, enjoy the smell of the burning branches and drink a couple cold ones while I watch the flames burn themselves out.

I like to play drums, go shooting, and go hiking with my big dog buddy off trail as far in the backwoods and away from people as I can get.

Hiking or biking in the hills by where i live. I enjoy the solitude and the wildlife and a pretty good work out as well.

Shoot guns, work on my son's fort that we are building out of a couple Rock Piles in our trees (we're surrounded by farm fields so I let the farmers dump all the rocks they pick in our trees for use with forts, walls, etc.) Keep fixing up my shooting range behind my house, mow the lawn, read my Bible, listen to sermons/inspirational speakers, read self help books.

If I'm just needing to vent off a rough day at work, I grab the .40, and my AR and I hit the fast freddie's with a vengence!! It was clearly their fault that I had a rough day anyway :)

Kim Bolen RN CCM ACM I do some creative writing, kayaking, hiking, listening to music, build a fire in my fire pit, camping, cooking, shooting, clean my guns, all are relaxing. If I don't want to even put that much thought into it, I will simply watch a movie.
