How do you handle stressful situations?2015-07-30T00:49:12-04:002015-07-30T00:49:12-04:00Capt Seid Waddell854126<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Slowing down and being positive are the most helpful for me.<br /><br />Focusing on the task at hand - those things that are under my control - is the only method that I know how to use. Those things outside of my control are worth acknowledgement but not worry - they are going to be what they are going to be.Response by Capt Seid Waddell made Jul 30 at 2015 12:57 AM2015-07-30T00:57:22-04:002015-07-30T00:57:22-04:00SSG Melvin Nulph854153<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If time allows, take a step back & take a deep breath, then try to look at it from a third persons point of view. <br />No matter what, I can not get emotional, (anger, shocked or even happy) with the nerve damage my body attacks me, so staying calm and think it through is the only option I get other than walk away. One reason I do my best to live a stress free & very simple life, spending most of it away from others its just me and my Bulldog & yes she gets bossy at times but nothing I can't handle.Response by SSG Melvin Nulph made Jul 30 at 2015 1:31 AM2015-07-30T01:31:13-04:002015-07-30T01:31:13-04:00CPT Chris Loomis854182<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Tactical breathing......Response by CPT Chris Loomis made Jul 30 at 2015 2:59 AM2015-07-30T02:59:53-04:002015-07-30T02:59:53-04:00SSgt Alex Robinson854205<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes. Then he talks to several chaplains. He ponders and prays. He takes a deep breath, then exercises to clear his head. If the pressure is still there he goes to sick call. If we are lucky he goes to mental health. After that he takes leave. Meanwhile, everyone else experiences more pressure because Snuffy can't pull his own weight.Response by SGM Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 30 at 2015 7:25 AM2015-07-30T07:25:09-04:002015-07-30T07:25:09-04:00SGT Kristin Wiley854373<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I use a few of these techniques.
