Circuit training in a unit PT area?

Is there are Command policy in place related to PT, a unit fitness area, etc? Comply with policy.

If this were my Battalion....If he is using outdoor PT equipment and or in a designated PT area, recommend slapping him on the back and commend his initiative. If he is just meandering around, put some common sense bounds on it and tighten it up. Encourage the PT in such a way that professionalism, good order and discipline are preserved. When the PT is complete, get back into uniform prior to departing the area.

Easy way to fix this: have the Commander issue a policy that designates a defined area in the unit area where soldiers may do hip pocket PT without tops on. Have it lay out when, how, and where the uniform may be modified. A Commander can dictate what the uniform is in his unit area. Post a laminated copy at the perimeter of the area. Someone jumps Neck deep in your stuff, be polite and professional and inform them you're in a designated area for modified PT by your commander. It is all situational depending on location and command/post policy. Most Soldiers on my post go to the gym during lunchtime to get a quick workout in. We just take our ACU top off during our workouts. If it is outside of the gym and still on-post and in a designated workout area (i.e. pull-up bars) then the same applies (ACU top off is fine). Now, if there is a command/post policy that specifically states otherwise then just follow that.
