You never hear about the well adjusted veteran who does right most of the time. Its good that physical and mental issues are discussed however, the public seems to think that every veteran has an issue and this crap has to stop. They were portrayed as shell shocked (PTSD), drug addicted, psychopaths and were always appeared and unkempt and wearing their dirty, torn, and tattered O.D. Field jacket.

It gave me the impression, that as 7 year old, that all veterans were shell shocked, drug addicted, psychopaths.

With the exception of the movie Stop Loss, most of the movies, TV shows, and commercials today portray the military and veterans in a positive light.
