Why? Because he represents US. The ESPY's and the Arthur Ashe Award didn't exist in 1976 --which is, in my estimation, when Jenner should have been eligible. His day has passed. ESPN can kiss our rosy red backsides ...'til football season. What Caitlyn Janner did takes courage, but is it to say that it is more or less than what Noah Galloway does? However, one could argue (not necessarily me) that Galloway's is not necessary courage, but rather determination, hard work and dedication. Being military, we all tend to gravitate towards our service members and their actions, much as I can image those in the media do towards civilians.
