How do you feel about the State of the Union address delivered by the POTUS last night?

Personally, I think there were some good points, some bad points and points in the address that left me scratching my head. I will say, seeing the 3 DDay Veterans stand and be recognized was the best moment for me.

Personally, I thought it was great. One of the first I’ve watched from beginning to end. Didn’t need talking heads to interpret what was being said. Wish you had given a few examples of the confusing and bad points.

Personally I thought he did a great job, the other side left a lot to be desired.

We have a bully businessman as President. I was pleasantly surprised he toned it down a lot and got near to being, wait for it, Presidential. He would never do it anywhere else as there's a good opportunity for the cameras to tell a truer tale than the BS on TwitFaceChat or whatever. The messaging was pretty much macro with a few no way in hell moments. The deer in the headlights from the newbies was funny but also painfully telling. Although the pollsters say favorable, it's likely skewed because I didn't see normalized demographic input. If truly normalized, the numbers could be higher or lower. That pales to my take that the political needle didn't move much. No SOTU address has ever moved that needle in my memory, but honest historians would have a clearer take. So did I like it? Yes. Did I think it was effective? No. Did I think it boxed in the arena for 2020? Hell yes. This event will wind up in the dumpster of the next news cycle. Interesting thing though. Some selective video clips of the SOTU will wind up in the Republican candidate ad wars. Nancy needed to do a much better job of telling her crowd not not hand the opposition ammo.
