How do you feel about the release of audio this week of President Clinton stating on Sept 10, 2001 that he could have killed Bin Ladin?

This week audio of President Clinton was released saying that he could have killed Osama Bin Ladin on Sept 10, 2001. He stated that there was an opportunity to kill him in Kandahar, although he didn't take action because it would have meant possibly killing 300 or more civilians in the surrounding village. Some have been critical of his decision saying that it might have prevented the events that followed hours later, and others say that the outrage was over blown because he could not have known what was going to happen.

Frankly, I'm not surprised. I am of the opinion we will discover that one or more president's will reveal they had an opportunity to kill OBL and failed to take advantage of it for one or more politically correct reason or another.

What if Hitler had been killed on the Western Front during WWI? Who would have gotten credit for that and would WWII have been prevented.

So President Clinton was speaking in 2001 just hours before 9/11 happened about an opportunity to eliminate OBL. My real question is, if he knew OSL was suck a real threat what happened between 1998 and 2001 that OSL never met his fate under Clinton and why was he mentioned just hours before the 9/11 incident?

He COULD HAVE but the fact is he DIDN'T. Just like he COULD HAVE sent in the equipment MG Garrison requested in Somalia in 1993 but the fact is he DIDN'T send it.

While it is easy to arm-chair quarterback his decision to NOT kill UBL, I am curious as to why the audio was released now, more than 3 years after Navy Seals took him out.
