My dad owns a P320 in 357Sig which is fun to shoot but the rounds are expensive and difficult to find at times, maybe if the army switches calibers it will increase how available that caliber is. I came in during the transition phase from the M1911 to the M9 and was trained on both. Prefered the M9 - seemed easier for me to fire accurately and I liked the larger magazine capacity. That being said, Sig Sauer makes great products. I just wonder how long it will take to get fielded... Of the people I know who personally own a Sig product, to a person they all universally have great things to say about the weapon.<br /><br /> I&#39;m just not a big fan of the 9mm round no matter what weapon it&#39;s fired from. I prefer something with a little more &quot;umph&quot; behind it such as the .40 or .45cal round. Kind of ironic considering my daily carry piece is a PK380. It seems that the caliber can be changed simply by changing the upper portion. From here and other websites, the Sig P320 seems to be very popular. So I did some pricing at local gun stores near me. These are retailing for $516 for the regular black finish, and $587 for the FDE finish or OD Green handgrip and lower assembly. I own a Springfield XD40 now, but I might see about buying one of these P320s. The accessory market should be exploding very shortly, as it is very easy to find Beretta 92F accessories everywhere, but XD40 accessories are a bit more difficult to find. If this is a .40 or .45, then I would probably approve it. If it&#39;s a 9 mm or .38, I&#39;d probably be unhappy. Any pistol with a caliber that doesn&#39;t begin with the number &quot;4&quot; or greater is under-powered. <br />I know the SEAL&#39;s use a Sig, but it&#39;s surely a higher caliber than a .38 or 9 mm (which is a short .380).<br />I love .45 Long Colt and .45 ACP. Whenever I&#39;ve used that round, anything struck with .45 caliber stays down on the ground and dies. Since it is a multi platform. The 9mm is not what I would like, but the prevalence of the round makes the basic choice understandable. T have a Sig 40 cal and I like it better.
