How do you feel about Speaker Boehner's resignation from Congress?

I think this will be a good thing for the country "IF" the House elects a Speaker that is interested in representing the People and the Constitution.

LTC Bink Romanick - I totally agree w/ that but the only problem are the checks and balances and suppression of the details about their motivation for doing this. The truth is out there, now to find it.

LTC Bink Romanick - I have no interest in vindicating Hillary since she was in on Watergate and is a hypocrite. That is my biggest rub.

LTC Bink Romanick - Yes Sir and I think we are going to find out he did compromise and those on the extreme right had heartburn over it.

WOW... I wasn't aware of this... Not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing... I do have my reasons for thinking that he would, but I think I'm gonna see what else gets here in comments...

MAJ Byron Oyler - There is no replacement yet. I think his resignation was somewhat abrupt.

The House is going to have to schedule an election for his replacement after he steps down.
That's going to be interesting to watch - there's no clear front runner right now. McCarthy might look like the obvious choice, but he's got the same baggage at Boehner. There's no one currently on the conservative side that can pull enough votes to be elected.

LTC Bink Romanick - I worry we will get worse as I believe he was willing to compromise with the Democrats and thus why the right pushed him out. I am not a fan of the left but a less fan of nothing getting done.

Yes, he was fighting his own party too much.

Not so much his own party but the various factions within the party with their own agendas, the tea party, libertarians, evangelicals, etc.
