How do you feel about requesting legislation to ban all telemarketing and cold sales calls?

I want Congress to make it a Felony to Spoof phone numbers, gather and sell personal information, data mine information on customers and sell it, and to violate the Federal Do Not Call Registry. The law I want to see also charges a severely punitive fine for each and every time that a business sells it's customer's information or violates the do not call registry. This would end virtually all telephonic sales calls and nearly all telemarketing...WHAT SAY YOU ALL.

"Caller ID spoofing is generally illegal in the United States if done "with the intent to defraud, cause harm, or wrongfully obtain anything of value". The relevant federal statute, the Truth in Caller ID Act of 2009, does make exceptions for certain law-enforcement purposes."

I'd prefer a system where telemarketers and robocalls are required to pay 10 cents a call to the person called. The person called then can decide whether or not to waive the call fee.
