You might say that I'm a Dr Prepper. Im a prepper, he's a prepper, wouldn't you like to be a prepper too?<br /><br />All kidding aside, I think it's always a good idea to have a 2-3 week contingency supply, especially with things that may become scarce such as meds, first aid stuff and water purification tablets. I do have a box of MRE's as well.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 28 at 2015 12:20 AM2015-01-28T00:20:02-05:002015-01-28T00:20:02-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member440146<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Like most things it's the people that take it to an extreme that gives the "prepper" label a bad rap. A lot of things that preppers focus on should IMO be common sense. Things like ensuring you have enough food in your pantry to last a few weeks in the event of a regional disaster, being well stocked and trained in regards to rudimentary first aid, keeping your car stocked with emergency supplies like a blanket/water/flares/etc. The list goes on, but the point is that basic prepping shouldn't be considered a radical idea. <br /><br />It's the tin foil hat crowd that honestly believe they might need to worry about a zombie apocalypse that turn people off of prepping and the connotations that come with the descriptor.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 28 at 2015 12:25 AM2015-01-28T00:25:34-05:002015-01-28T00:25:34-05:00SGT Christina Wilder1067345<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My home is stocked to be able to be off the grid for up to six months. Food, water, first aid, alternate communication it towers are down. I am not concerned about a zombie apocalypse just in case something unforeseen should arise. I am close to the border and in a very rural area.Response by SGT Christina Wilder made Oct 26 at 2015 3:36 PM2015-10-26T15:36:46-04:002015-10-26T15:36:46-04:00PO1 Kerry French4539459<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>People who don’t prep are stupid. Whether it’s natural disaster, job loss, family in need or the zombie apocalypse everyone needs to be prepared with food, water, medications, and plenty of self-defense methods In case those who have not prepared intend to take what you haveResponse by PO1 Kerry French made Apr 12 at 2019 11:59 PM2019-04-12T23:59:39-04:002019-04-12T23:59:39-04:002015-01-27T23:32:57-05:00
