How do you feel about piracy?

Most people recognize that downloading media from peer-to-peer file sharing sites is illegal and therefore wrong. That said it seems to be fairly common practice in the Army for soldiers preparing to deploy to load up an external hard drive with as much media as they can in preparation for the long months ahead away from civilization. Do you feel that deployed soldiers fall into a grey area when it comes to piracy? If not then in your opinion should a deployed soldier be exempt from piracy related laws? Share your thoughts on this legal question.
