It would be better phrased citing specific religious groups using hate speech since not all churches (and most likely the majority) do not engage in this behavior. To answer your question, assuming you are referring to fringe "churches", I would refer to the first amendment: Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I'm thankful for this...lets me determine who the idiots are more easily.
