How do you delete a comment on RP?

If the thread was not started by me, can I still delete my comment? Dont see the option to delete my comment anywhere. Or would the original thread owner have to do it? Thanks in advance

What and where is the comment? I can hide it for you. You can also edit your comment down to "nm" (no message) or similar.

By design, members are unable to delete a comment but a comment can be hidden by a site admin, those with stars by their profile image.

Just edit it and put something else in it. Otherwise, ask an admin.

The $@%"&€#￦θ Rally Point Points System precludes us from deleting erroneous input or comments. If the Headshed boys would get rid of these goddamn points, the whole thing would work infinitely better...after a major programming overhaul.

Can someone explain why it's so important to not allow a user to edit or delete their own comments? I just put a comment in a response to a comment instead of commenting on the entire thread. Not intentionally of course. Now I read I can't delete it and put it where it belongs. In what world does this make sense?
