How do you define a Hero and who meets your criteria?

A hero is someone that puts themselves in harms way by instinct to protect, defend and save someone who cannot.

Sgt Joe LaBranche The Space Shuttle Program Astronauts were heroes. Even after the losses of Space Shuttles Challenger and Columbia, along with their crews, the astronauts continued to fly the missions. Also, our men and women in uniform that place themselves in harm's way, are heroes.

A real hero, Colonel Leo Thorsness, a real gentleman, war hero, POW, tortured, beaten in body but not in spirit. The two clown on either side, me and my twin brother are no heroes!

The veterans spouse who stand by their soldier through it all. The Dad that takes time to play ball, the workers who get up everyday and struggle to make ends meet.

Capt. Kuss riding that F/A 18 down yesterday so it didn't crash into a neighborhood was an example of heroism.
