You don't need to discuss much. You could just drop off the key, Lee; and get yourself free. You? Your ex-girlfriend? If it's you, then it doesn't matter where she is or where you are. It doesn't matter if you're on the same ship or different continents. She's where she is, and you are where you are, and nothing else matters. Don't let her into your head. You control you, not her. There is nothing you can do to control her, so you control yourself. Get a new girlfriend. Treat her nice (as nicely as any sailor could; understandably, there are issues involved with being involved with a sailor). If a new girlfriend is not on board with a relationship with you then do something else. Get a hobby, like collecting coins or stamps. Or study astronomy (that could be useful to a sailor).

If you are looking for "revenge," (not sayin' nuttin about nuttin) remember that the best revenge is living a good life.
