How do I use my VA 28 - 1905 to pay for books, and supplies for college?

Do you just show them the form at the school bookstore? Also, how do I go about getting the laptop my Voc Rehab counselor said they would provide for me? My counselor was not very informative at all.

Have You Checked With Your VA Rep Or Guidance Councilor They Should Be Able To point you in the right Direction

Depends on the school. Talk to your financial aid office. During undergraduate studies I was given a voucher and the book store filled it out. It was a paper trail. In graduate school it was all computerized and I just told them during check out and they looked it up and everything was handled from there. But it all starts with the veterans program, wether a stand alone or colacted with your financial aid office.

This form is to be completed by your Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, who will contact the school certifying official. You should not be handling the 28-1905 yourself.

voc rehab turned out to be a big let down for me especially when it comes to talking to the counselor. I can never get mine on the phone but some lady at goodwill could call any time and reach her, what good is that?
