Back in my day (1968-1970), I think I had 3 different MOS's, all at the whim of the Army. Come time for your re-enlistment window to open, you go talk to your Retention NCO and see if you qualify. If you qualify, you re-enlist for that MOS then you head to the school when your orders come in. Simple as that. You want to view the MOS's that are short and are taking "SL1" in (highlighted in green). In your case, you most likely will have to wait till your reenlistment opens (15months from your ETS date) then try to reclass to the MOS you want, instead of a voluntary reclass (before window opens). 14E aren't letting anyone go right now as you will see in the link. Your retention NCO will be able to enlighten you more on this. Anymore questions, feel free to ask. Hope I was of help.

Reclassification Opportunities

An awarded MOS, especially the PMOS, represents significant time and effort, both to the Army and the Soldier.
