PFC Private RallyPoint Member5984858<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’m just curious since my recruiter doesn’t really keep in contact with me often and I haven’t spoken with my unit because of covid...I just graduated ait about 2 months ago and in January I asked my recruiter how to join the AGR program and he said I must graduate and be a PFC promotable first. Now that that time is coming up in a few days. I was wondering who I need to talk to about it and how likely it would be to get a position. Are there any special things I should do to ensure I have a better chance of getting a position? My MOS is 25n...can I only get a 25 series AGR position? And is it a simple process to get waived to specialist? Last question...do I have the opportunity to take another pt test or will they use mine from ait eoc?How do I join the AGR program?2020-06-08T19:10:21-04:00PFC Private RallyPoint Member5984858<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’m just curious since my recruiter doesn’t really keep in contact with me often and I haven’t spoken with my unit because of covid...I just graduated ait about 2 months ago and in January I asked my recruiter how to join the AGR program and he said I must graduate and be a PFC promotable first. Gain some repore with your unit first. Network, then have a chat with your platoon leadership to mentor you. They will direct you to the proper online application process.<br /><br />Passing apft and ht wt, a few DA forms and an unofficial DA photo. Usually most AGR jobs in the Guard may require you to reclass. It doesn’t matter what MOs you currently holdResponse by SGT(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 8 at 2020 7:13 PM2020-06-08T19:13:38-04:002020-06-08T19:13:38-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member5984865<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You apply on HRC. If you have full time staff at your unit they can help you put in a packet. You need to be at least E-4 and finished DLC1 in order to apply.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 8 at 2020 7:13 PM2020-06-08T19:13:40-04:002020-06-08T19:13:40-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member5984866<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If you have any more questions I’ll be happy to answer more in a private message.Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 8 at 2020 7:14 PM2020-06-08T19:14:41-04:002020-06-08T19:14:41-04:00SGM Private RallyPoint Member5985375<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>In the Indiana Army National Guard, you keep an eye on this site:<br /><a target="_blank" href="https://www.in.ng.mil/Careers/Jobs/Current-Vacancies/">https://www.in.ng.mil/Careers/Jobs/Current-Vacancies/</a><br />In the meantime, you need some skills and experience, volunteer to come on RMPs, home station AT or AAT, short orders, get access and learn systems to help out the AGRs in your unit.<br />When an opening comes up, apply.<br />If you don't hold that MOS, you have 12 months to get that MOS after you are hired. <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default">

You have to apply for them by submitting a packet, and if you are on the short list you do a board interview. You can apply for any MOS, but you have to reclass to that MOS if you are selected. As stated from other people you need to spend some time with your unit and learn how the guard works before trying to get a full time job. There are also Technician jobs that you can get where you are dual status with the state.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 9 at 2020 11:09 AM2020-06-09T11:09:50-04:002020-06-09T11:09:50-04:002020-06-08T19:10:21-04:00
