Are you assigned to a unit that's 500 miles away? Whatever the case, you need to speak with your chain of command ASAP.Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 13 at 2018 3:42 PM2018-07-13T15:42:29-04:002018-07-13T15:42:29-04:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member3791170<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>1. You can always request to RST with another Reserve unit, if your Command will allow it. Talk to your Chain of Command & let them know your situation.<br /><br />2. Transfer into the IRR, then you can transfer to any other Army Reserve unit or National Guard unit in your state even. You can even deploy from the IRR with a unit that's going oversees if you qualify.<br /><br />3. The Army reserve provides both the Lodging in Kind Program (LIK) and the IDT Travel Program in DTS, where you can put into receive reimbursement for driving or even renting a car for drill. It might take a couple months to get your money- but if you put it in you will get paid (especially if you're a junior Soldier).Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 13 at 2018 6:12 PM2018-07-13T18:12:43-04:002018-07-13T18:12:43-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member3791278<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>How did you get transferred, I have never heard of a TPU being transferred without consent except for promotion??Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 13 at 2018 7:03 PM2018-07-13T19:03:07-04:002018-07-13T19:03:07-04:00SSgt Private RallyPoint Member3791782<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>According to AR, you could request to go to the IRR. check with Army RegsResponse by SSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 14 at 2018 12:40 AM2018-07-14T00:40:41-04:002018-07-14T00:40:41-04:00SMSgt Thor Merich3791800<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Going IRR is your best betResponse by SMSgt Thor Merich made Jul 14 at 2018 1:01 AM2018-07-14T01:01:16-04:002018-07-14T01:01:16-04:001SG Private RallyPoint Member3791807<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>How did you get transferred? There are conditional reassignments to new units that often occur with promotions, but I have never heard of that happening with advancements.
