How do I go about amending my orders?

Ive just PCS to fort polk without my wife straight from AIT, the finance lady said in order to finish my packet i need to have my orders amended to list that i have dependents for my PCS to polk from benning. Ive been trying to find my old training companies number but cant ive been calling post but nobody picks up. If I dont get it done by the 25th I have to go through my unit and it would be longer or more expensive for my wife to travel to me.

Would DEERS be able to help with this? Without being there in person Benning is hard to get a hold of someone without direct contact info

What unit were you in at FT Benning?
Have you spoken to the S1 rep at the FT Polk reception company you are in now?

I would find the administration office on your new base and see if they can direct you from there because they usually have to communicate with other base administrators if they have questions.

Question- Did you get married while in transition from Fort Benning to Polk? You might have difficulty amending your orders if you just got married since you weren't married before you received your orders.

Reassignment section at Fort Benning has to amend your orders. You'll have to call the MPD, I think on Benning it's called the Soldier Plaza, or something like that

Listen to SFC Boyd. Whoever cut the original orders must amend. I had to do the same on my first orders. They forgot to add the line stating that dependant travel was authorized.

look at your orders and it should have a POC for the MPD that published them.
