SPC Private RallyPoint Member 7781797

I was flagged for an investigation, with no favorable action and lost my promotable status. But I was found not guilty and had no charges against me and the flag was dropped. My new units S1 will not re en state my promotable status without paper work. Which I don’t have( I have contacted my old S1 to see if they have it but I was there over a year ago) should I go to JAG or what is my best route here How do I get my promotable status back!? 2022-07-19T19:12:31-04:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 7781797

I was flagged for an investigation, with no favorable action and lost my promotable status. They are doing their job - and properly, too. No S1 should EVER process ANYTHING without the paperwork to back it up.

2)Let this be a lesson. If you don't already have an I Love Me book, start one. If you DO already have one, realize you need to keep more stuff in it. No one will take care of you like you.

3) Have you talked to your 1st-line about this, yet? What guidance has (s)he given you?

4) Even going a year back, your old S1 SHOULD have the paperwork. You could also try your unit Orderly room, they should also have a copy. Or even your old S2 if clearance was suspended. Has S1 responded?

5) Give it time. Quite frankly, you are not your old S1's priority. And fixing your old S1's screw-up is not your new S1's priority. They SHOULD respond, but don't expect next day service.

6) If the old unit is blowing you off, recommend going THROUGH YOUR CoC to talk to current CSM, to see if he will give a courtesy call over to the CSM of old unit to try to "light a fire" and square you away. What Promoteable status are you talking about? Plus, your current S1 is correct. Awfully bold of you to want your S1 to do shady just to benefit you. Going to JAG ain't gonna do diddly for you. They're literally doing their job. I feel like this should be in IPERMS. If it's only been a year since you left, they should still have a copy of any paperwork of yours. Anytime I've been in S2 we have to keep records of people who outprocess for 2 years. There isn't a legal shortcut here. Just good old fashioned working with admin. Go to your brigade legal office or your commander and ask for the findings and recommend memo with a legal opine. It should say that there is no probable cause. Show that to your new S1.
