For the Air Force, medical records prior to May 1994 were sent to the National Personnel Records Center (NPRC)* at the National Archives. You can submit an online request for a copy of them through eVetRecs*.

If you are looking for your records as part of a VA claim, the VA will have any records in the NPRC sent over as part of the process.

If you've previously tried eVetRecs and your files weren't at the National Archives, have you tried contacting the 377th Medical Group? Not long after you left the service, the Air Force opened a joint clinic with the Department of Veterans Affairs (the Kirtland Clinic) and the 377th operates it.
