My question is, Can I volunteer in reception once i report to my next unit at the welcoming center or drop a packet once I am at my actual unit? How do I become a 160th SOAR volunteer?2021-03-24T12:43:00-04:00SPC(P) Private RallyPoint Member6849633

Going to Lewis for my next assignment and was told by a lot of old NCO's that the best way to go is to go to 160th SOAR and try out for green platoon. You can also volunteer for 75th Ranger Regiment as well as they have a Battalion at JBLM.
If you like you can contact your branch manager right now if you haven't left your old assignment. Sometimes they will place people directly on assignment to the 160th, they may be willing to amend your orders to go to the 160th instead of your assignment brigadeResponse by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 24 at 2021 12:50 PM2021-03-24T12:50:02-04:002021-03-24T12:50:02-04:00CW2 Private RallyPoint Member6849674

https://goarmysof.com/160th/SOARrecruiting.html

that's how

Your current unit is already losing you and you’re not yet an asset to your new unit, making it a good opportunity to get snatched up to go to green platoon.
