How do I apply for my Post 9-11 GI Bill for the fall term?

Classes start October 3rd. How do I apply and how long does it take to get approved?

Ebenefits I where you start, then there is an online application that you fill out and when you receive your approval, that is what you take to the VA Laison at your school. This is very important, make sure that you have a degree plan and follow it exactly, if you fail or drop a class, your benefits will run out before before you get your degree. Also, try to fill out every scholarship you can find online. They are usually easy to fill out and require a one page letter why you deserve it. I know a few people who did that and made quite a bit of extra money.

Go with SGT Beau Thomas's plan . That was my way as well. I also received Vocational rehabilitation education benefits after used up GI Bill. If you have over 20% disability. I was older GI Bill though.

If you are active duty or reserves use Tuition Assistance it works better and you don't burn through your Gi Bill until your ready. So in theory it can be put to better use i.e. kids or spouse.

Go to any college and they will hook you right up. I went and filled out a few forms and started classes within a month. Very simple process.

if your active duty go through your ed. center for Army . i think it is still go armyed

When you sign up for School, get in touch with the VA Rep and tell them that you will like to use your post 9-11GI Bill for the fall term.

[login to see] Here the number for VA Education. But the VA at the school you want to go to can get thru with no hold most of the time.
