Every day I see advertisements for match making services, websites, etc. Many of us grew up with our spouses while others met at school or work. In some cultures arranged marriages are normal. How did you meet your spouse and how many years have you been together?

Met My wife while in the Navy at a club in Philadelphia. Been married for 30 years now.

My my wonderful wife at a health club. We were at the juice bar. Lol. So, I sometime just tell people we met at a bar! ;) I was stationed in Maine at the time...and I think I too the best thing out of Maine! She is really something special.

17 years ago I was introduced to my bride-to-be at a church conference. Our meeting was the result of a conspiracy by two couples that loved us that we should meet. We learned that the next day [October 9] was our shared birthday. We played hooky on our birthday from the church conference and I took my Maria to see the Vietnam Veterans Wall and the Lincoln Memorial and strolled around the mall area in Washington D.C. We went to look at ring styles at Tyson's mall and the next day I proposed marriage and we were married on December 11 of 1999. I have been married to the love of my life for 15 years as husband and wife.

I met my wife while I was having a night-on-the-town in Sitka, Alaska October 15, 1986. We have been together almost 29 years!!

Met my wife when she started dating my brother - we became best friends and after they broke up, we dated and got married in 1982 - been together now 33+ years.

Met my wife in 87 in Ft Hood TX, she had just PCS'd from Germany, met her at the reception station been inseparable since then. 28 years together/27 married

I was on restriction at Marine Barracks, NAS NI and she worked in the chow hall on mess duty. She was the hottie checking meal cards. Since the chow hall and church were the only places I could go and there was a hottie at the chow hall, I went there often. First date was the day I got off restriction and we were married 20 months later. That was 28 years ago.

I first met my wife at a karaoke bar. After that night, we found out that we both went to the same place for lunch and sometimes dinner. We spent about a year and a half talking during lunch and dinner when we saw each other. One night, she called me and invited be to one of her friends birthday parties at the karaoke bar. I showed up and SHE asked me out. We were engaged six days later and married a year after that. We are celebrating out 14th wedding anniversary this year!

I was Duty NCO on my last 45 days in the Corps I came on duty and noticed a new WM checked in. This is where our stories vary, she claimed she locked her self out of her room and had to have me unlock the room. I claim I stopped by her room to check on her. Regardless, we're working on our 36th year of marriage. Something about living up to the ethos, Semper Fidelis!

I met my future at a church youth center for the first time in 1967 and married her in 1971. Still happy growing older together.

My spouse and I met in High school. I went into the Army 3 years after I graduated High School. We got married here in the courthouse in Fayetteville NC 27 November 2000.
Cant say it's easy being married, But I am glad that I married my life long partner he gave me two wonderful kids whom I completely adored. I love my husband, and kids very much, wouldn't trade them for the world.
We have been married for 15 years coming in the next month.

My first wife of 27 years, We were child hood sweethearts , My second wife and still is of this our 23 anniversary Still going strong. I met her at my work.

We met at a mutual friend's birthday party, when we were both working the summer at our alma mater, before my Freshman year. We have been married over four years, and have been together seven years this past week.
