How dangerous is the activity of White Supremists in the US Military?

In the very recent past there have been isolated incidents of White Supremist hate crimes and vandalism on various military posts. One morning a couple years ago we gathered for morning PT and saw nazi propaganda and racist slurs spray painted on company headquarters, dumpsters and military vehicles. Are incidents like these isolated? Are they on the rise? The decline? How real or how dangerous is the threat of White Supremists in the military? What are the risks?

It's a problem. There are reports going back to at least 2006 expressing concern about white supremacists increasingly joining the military.

I don't think this is really much of an issue than other hate groups. I am more worried about gang activity in the Army.

Take your pick. White Supremicists, Crips, Bloods, MS13. The list is long and "distinguished".

IMO. When they lowered the standards to enlist during the height of the wars it more or less invited the less desirables. Now we are stuck with them until they A. ETS and take their knowledge and skills back to the street. Or B. They are found out/kicked out then they take the knowledge and skills back to the street.

Then the Police now have force multipliers out there teaching their own how to fight.

I'd have to say that gang members infiltrating the military has been a larger problem than the hate groups. Either way as soon as they're exposed they should be thrown in Leavenworth since they have obviously sworn to the answers on their enlistment papers (legal documents) of having no relation to such groups. They're all just POS that represent everything us dedicated soldiers and patriots oppose.

I don't know about it being dangerous within the military, but I know one-tour former service members (particularly Marines) are currently a very-quickly growing demographic among groups such as the KKK.

MAJ Nadil Hassan held power point slides on the Army's dime and promoted extremist views of Islam and he managed to get promoted! Why can't the subjects who did the graffiti also do the same so the Army can at least track them?

Had a next door neighbor in the dorm who was a dumbass hick who started dropping the N-Bomb while we were in Germany on TDY. Fortunately I was friends with the guys, as we also played basketball together. I told them that the white guy was a dumb ass bigot and he sucks. They said hi to me, laughed and went on. The one guy had five charges of assault and more than one Article 15. The boy was lucky his ass wasn't kicked royally.

As an aside. Back in Little Rock, the dumb redneck was arrested for having a 38 in his freezer during a shakedown. Stupid is as stupid does. Popcorn Shrimp!

I think that ALL GROUPS like this are harmful to the Service. But it is not hard to understand how this is happening. The military's Affirmative Action program has institutionalized discrimination against White Males. If a DA centralized Promotion Board does not achieve the Dept of the Army's Gender and Ethnicity promotion "Goals" the list will be recalled to ensure that those goals are met. They will skip over as many white males as needed to reach the "Goals" yet that is accepted by the Army as fair and balanced. Never has a Promotion List been recalled because it was short a white male or two. ANYTHING that gets one Soldier's record looked at more than another Soldier's record is WRONG.

Any gang affiliation/activity should be a career ender. Whether it be the White Aryan Resistance, the Crips, the Bloods or La Raza (The Race) it should all be prohibited. Be proud to be an American, NOT an American with a hyphen.

We as à nation came to far to have HATE in the military. We have a diversified military with no room, no error for RACIST, RACISM! These individuals who are committing these criminal acts on damaging military, government property should be punished to full stint of the law! It has been proven throughout history, that strong armies stood strong when there ranks were diversified. This type of thinking is DANGEROUS, and can disrupt and destroy moral and trust of the brotherhood and sisterhood that we share.

There should be a second oath that says putting flag and country before hate groups, gang affiliations, or other prior affiliations that are contrary to the objectives of the military. All that time with swatiskas and spray painting gang symbols could have been better spent training or learning technical skills.

Statistics pending... But the same risk for any other gang affiliation for any other race.... No policy leans towards any race for further prevention; u less you consider the change in uniform attire...which then could allows for a non uniformity appearance thus widening an already growing gap.

About as dangerous as members of any other shithead gang that joins the military. We have confirmed reports of members of almost every nationally recognized "Tier-2" gang that have enlisted in the military to learn skills related to weapons and warfighting.

As someone mentioned, they should be kicked out or tried under the UCMJ Article 83, Fraudulent Enlistment when found out.

Don't think for a moment that we don't currently have members of Bloods, Crips, Banditos, Pagans (biker MC, not the religion), Aryan Nation, ISIS, Taliban, etc etc in our ranks. We do.
