As a veteran, why was I refused service at the Detroit VA?

Went to the Detroit va needed service was told can't service you, and said you not dead yet, how terrableafter we called them and were told to come in

Did you.... have appointment?
If you had am appointment, eligibility should have been determined when making the appointment,and there should have been no issues. If you did not, then there was no reason for them to see you unless you were dying... so go make an appointment. Which is exactly what it sounds like happened.
Very few, if any, VA clinics are walk-in clinics. I haven't been to one, yet.
