So when I speak in public I do keep it on the subject and try hard not to comment on Political issues, and if I absolutely have to I make sure it is understood it is me speaking and not the American Legion. However that changes in the middle of Jun when the new Commander takes over.Response by SFC Everett Oliver made Apr 22 at 2016 10:02 PM2016-04-22T22:02:45-04:002016-04-22T22:02:45-04:00Sgt Private RallyPoint Member1472863

MAJ David Vermillion In public, I show consideration for others. But when dealing with the endless variety of people in society, one not-too-infrequently crosses paths with another who has no concept of those terms. I give them one shot, and only one. Then I match fire with fire...actually, I use a much bigger gun. That is how I deal with those people, and how I always will. I don't give out blind respect, with exception of people who have rank/titles/etc. That is a given in respecting the title first before knowing the person. This PC Liberal, 'offended at everything' and 'Don't invade my personal safety bubble." is ridiculous and childish. I can guarantee......other countries laugh and mock us b/c of what we've allowed to happen. The Army in my day (2003-2009) was not this SOFT. I was mostly with 10th MTN DIV. We had women in our platoons and female Medics in a sister company. They were some of the best medics I worked with and a few could pull their weight like many infantry guys.
There are countries in which the Women are more threatening than the men in their military. This gender mess and waiving every physical/emotional problem just to get Numbers needs to stop. Even though I'm partially handicapped, I would re-enlist and serve in some capacity if things changed.Response by SPC Brian Mason made Apr 23 at 2016 7:04 PM2016-04-23T19:04:31-04:002016-04-23T19:04:31-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member1478810

I watch what i say because i know that i have a potty mouth at times.
