The Presidents oath is to "...preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." It mentions nothing to the effect of keeping Michael Thorin happy, only that he is responsible that the Constitution is protected, thereby affording me the same freedoms as my fellow man. His charged "duties" as the POTUS is to ensure foreign policies exist which guarantee that those freedoms are not threatened.

Congressional members take a similar oath, but the phrase "...against all enemies, foreign and domestic." is added.

So is the same for other offices and military underneath them.

Now, the purpose of both houses of Congress is to be the voice of the people; meaning that they take requests from the citizens of their districts to their respective houses and propose laws built around those requests. Do you know that we have some Congressmen that have been in office for years, making over $200,000 a year with stipend accounts and protection who have never cast a vote, and several who could count on one hand the number of votes they cast.

Additionally, except during an election year, when has a Congressman ever been at a Town Hall Meeting and asked your suggestions on anything?

Congress is supposed to bring "our" will, the people's will to vote. They are to be our voice.

The President in the "Leader" of the free world inasmuch as he is the figurehead who is charged with ensuring the will of the people is carried out, and to be OUR CONSTITUTION'S representative when dealing with foreign nations.

An additional problem is the United States Justice System. So many laws have been passed in regards to an "employee's" rights that now "employers" have few rights when it comes to employee termination.

Why are some VA's so bad? Because it is so incredibly difficult to terminate substandard employees, so they only become more "substandard", even to the point that new employees follow their example.

Where, in my opinion, does the problem start? At the President?

To a lesser degree yes, but the biggest problem I see is in our Congress, Senators and Representatives alike.

If I did not produce at my job, would I still be employed? After so long of documented failures, absolutely. I would also not continued to get paid and face losing my retirement.

Why do we have Congressmen who continually let our Nation down? Because there is no incentive to lift us up.

I mean, we have a US Congressman who sent pictures of his penis on a government provided phone, and what was his punishment was? A little slap on the wrist followed by a polite, "try not to do this again." No pay cut, no threat of termination, no actual punishment. When he gets moved out of office, he will still receive payment for his service, and this is just one example.

In my job as a firefighter, had I done this, I would have been in direct violation of my City's policies in regards to "conduct unbecoming" and immediately terminated with no benefits.

A term or two and Congressmen are set for life, and even if voted out will still receive compensation.

That is the equivalent of being a CEO of a company and being terminated from your board, and the company still paying you $200,000 annually with benefits. A company would go bankrupt under those conditions, much like our Country is heading towards today.

If this is never stopped in Congress, we should never expect it to changes in any other level of the government, because until they see actual consequences for their actions or lack of actions, there will never be enough pressure on any Federal agency to do their job.

My take on the situation, and if you made it through to then end of this page turning comment; God bless you. I appreciate your patience.

Shot over.
Shot out.

Splash over.
Splash out.

Fire for effect!
