How can the United States lead the Human Rights story internationally with our History?

I say that we have a great history having fought to end as a Nation in the Civil War the global end possibly to the Slave Trade from Africa.

That took some beyond Huevos Rancheros.

We have 200 Plus years of history trying to be progressive writing the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution to remove peasants from the rule under the King and Queen used in Europe.

The Magna Carta written in Latin, which I understand was used as a framework for the constitution, was the original type of document giving any rights to the commoner under a King.

So here we are and the Native Americans were eliminated off their land and end up on reservations, due overwhelming force of the new people from Britain who had manifest destiny on their mind.

You learn through the study that West African Kings actually worked hand in hand and sold their own people to Europeans for profit.

So you see this king getting what he wants in all cultures with no skin color to throw at as the culprit.

You had possibly waring tribes of Indians. You had the Aztec and Mayans who had human sacrifice rituals and other events for the sun and moon.

Then now we have Israel and China and Russia and Mexico that we point at as to their Human Rights issues.

I think we could infact show them that what will happen if they keep up that pace.

It seems a civil war is really a reality if your abuse of another is that tragic

You can not hide, even with in your own family, tragic abuse.

You can see that people in their own culture are called Self Hating Whites, Blacks, Jews, Christians, Muslims..

I think that these people see beyond what they were told to see and actually see that all humans are basically the same and that right is right and wrong is wrong and that has nothing to do with you hiding behind some idea that your culture or another is completely right or wrong

We must show that there is a better way and that we have a current system that does not disqualify anyone based on religion or race or even sex etc etc etc.

It is called protected classes.

There is not one class that is mentioned as specifically a more important class in our government operation procedures.

I think we need to get away from any talk of black white brown red Christian Muslim Jewish as identifiers because infact we are all human individuals.

If you were to create a city all to iteslf only for Jews, Christians, Muslims, Blacks, Browns, White people you would soon have some form of justice laws that are are all similar as to what is right and wrong, a jail type place for people who were devious and Hurt another, a hospital for those who were not well. All these separate cities would need good food and water.

So that is my thought.

There is no protected racial class. America still has a lot to improve on. Blacks are discriminated by society and the police.

Everyone's going to have a different point of view on this one. Some people believe we have overcome our past, many believe we have not, and more still suggest it's our present we need be most concerned with. For my own part, I have known people of every race, sex, creed, religion and background who have been successful and fulfilled within our system... I have also known individuals from every conceivable background who have been marginalized, insulted, short-changed, and disenfranchised. It's not that the U.S. is any "worse", it's that we are by our very demographics, more "diverse". You will find few cross sections containing so many different (and often competing) cultures than in the U.S. The reality is that we hate what we fear, and we have been giving one another a great many reasons to fear one another for a very long time. The way I see it, there's no difference between someone being afraid the police will pull them over for being "suspected"... and someone being afraid they'll be attacked merely for how they look. Both fears are based on generalizations borne of just enough truth to be impossible to dismiss through rational thought. The only way to defeat those fears (and the resulting hate) is for people to continually, habitually, and purposely NOT do what others are afraid they are capable of doing.
