A number of large IT companies have contracts with the Army. Heck, I didn't even try but ended up with a two year stint with the Army Recruiting Command as a civilian contractor at Ft Knox (that was a lot of fun). (Dad was active duty for 26 years) I was dumb when I was younger and worried about other things. If I could go back and enlist I would but you can't change the past. I now support the War Fighter directly as a civilian. I do direct maintenance on the F22 Raptor. I ensure that the aircraft is safe for flight so our pilots can do their job and return safely home to their families. I have a great sense of pride in what I do and although i am not enlisted I still get to serve my country! usajobs.gov is a great place to start!! Good luck!
