My problem is my only income is military disability. Anyone have suggestions? How can I qualify for a VA home loan if I am only receiving military disability pay? 2015-08-20T02:33:00-04:00 SSgt Sarina Gordon-Singson 904134 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I have tried using my VA loan, tried going through USAA, tried private lenders, no matter what I have tried I am unable to get a home loan. While I&#39;m no lending officer or money management professional, the advice I would give you is talk to a finical planner. I started talking with one a few weeks ago and we are working on a plan to help me not only save for a new car but to do while putting money away for a rainy day. It hasn&#39;t been a fun or easy process but it helps. They may have tips on ways you can go about securing your home loan. Now, you may not be able to get a home loan for a home that is out of your range, but I don't understand why you wouldn't qualify for "A" loan based on your income - even if it's just disability. I do imagine that the loan may not be much, but could buy a small starter home or trailer residence - there are very inexpensive properties out there.
